Job Description
The Plumber Assistant is responsible for accurately servicing, and installing plumbing equipment in residential and/or commercial structures. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of plumbing equipment, codes, and proper installation procedures.
Responsibilities:
Replace any plumbing equipment or complete systems.
knowledge of metal pipe cutting
Test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks, using a pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution.
Join pipes or tubing to the equipment.
Obtain and maintain required certifications.
Install, connect, and adjust plumbing equipment, using hand tools.
Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
Inspect and test systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
Duties:
Knowledge of plumbing codes and proper application; knowledge of proper safety requirements.
Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with internal and external customers.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused work environment; ability to balance workload with technicians and customers needs.
Ability to establish rapport with customers.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion with information.
Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Must have strong math skills.
Ability to utilize common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
Ability to take timely action to effectively solve problems, using established policies and procedures.
Requirements:
1 years of plumbing field experience.
Valid Pennsylvania driver s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.

Palmerton Garage Doors is Seeking a Commercial Garage Door Technician
The Commercial Garage Door Technician will service and install overhead doors. This role is a permanent, full time position.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose problems, provide solutions, and carry out required work on overhead doors
- Regularly coordinate with the service scheduler on problem solving and required parts
- The service and/or installation of residential and commercial overhead doors and openers, loading dock equipment
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Can manage routine tasks while also maintaining appropriate flexibility to ensure jobs are completed quickly and accurately
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for delivering great products and services
- Maintains accurate and detailed records of time spent and work done for each job
Skills:
- Mechanically inclined

Qualifications:

- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. Lifting, pulling, climbing, standing, sitting, lying down, squatting and kneeling and managing equipment and tools required
- Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirement including drug, alcohol and health assessment

• Explaining in a clear and professional manner what needs to be repaired to customers
• Repair and installation of springs, door parts, doors and openers
• Communication with office in a clear & reliable fashion
• Experience is preferred but not required.

Prefer experience in garage doors, but will train someone with construction or mechanical background.
