Careers in Construction Event Connects CCTI Students with the Building Trades
The Carbon Builders Association held its first Careers in Construction event on October 26, 2026, at Carbon Career & Technical Institute (CCTI), giving students an opportunity to explore the building trades through hands-on demonstrations and conversations with industry representatives.
Hands-On Learning with Industry Professionals
Representatives from Milwaukee Tool and Mastic, also known as Ply Gem, joined member company YBC of Palmerton to introduce students to tools, products, and potential careers in construction.
The demonstrations connected classroom learning with practical applications, allowing students to get a closer look at the materials and equipment used in the industry. Meeting industry professionals also gave students an opportunity to ask questions and explore where their technical education could take them.
Growing Our NAHB Student Chapter
Carbon Builders Association is proud to announce that our National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Student Chapter now includes 99 students.
This milestone reflects an exciting opportunity to support the next generation of building professionals. We look forward to helping students explore career paths, build industry connections, and prepare for their future in the workforce.
Thank You to Our Participants
Thank you to the participating representatives from Milwaukee Tool, Mastic/Ply Gem, YBC of Palmerton, and the team at CCTI for helping introduce students to opportunities in the building trades.
